Techkinect partnered with the AC Marriott Hotel at Liberty Center to transform an underutilized indoor pool area into a modern, multi-functional collaboration and meeting space.
The goal was to elevate the guest experience while creating a flexible environment for business meetings, events, and presentations—centered around a high-impact video wall and intuitive AV system.
The Challenge
The space was originally designed as an indoor pool area—not a technology-enabled environment. Converting it into a professional collaboration space introduced several challenges:
- Limited existing infrastructure for structured cabling and AV systems
- Need to support modern AV and network connectivity requirements
- Requirement for multiple input types (HDMI, USB-C, wireless casting)
- Flexibility to display multiple sources across different screens
- Seamless user experience for hotel staff and guests
- Balanced audio coverage and control for varied room use cases
Our Approach
Techkinect approached the project with a design-first mindset, ensuring the system would be both powerful and easy to use:
- Installed and organized structured cabling to support AV system requirements
- Designed a modular AV system centered around a high-resolution video wall
- Integrated wall plate connectivity (HDMI + USB-C) for plug-and-play use
- Enabled wireless casting for flexible, device-agnostic presentations
- Implemented local system access for in-room control and operation
- Engineered a DSP-driven audio system for clean, adjustable sound
